Thank you to the Clovis Democratic Club for giving me the chance to share regular updates with your members. It means a lot, and I’m glad to be back.
First, the news: the primary results are in, and the matchup is set. It’s me versus Tom McClintock in November. And here’s what should have every Democrat in this district paying attention: we picked up six points compared to the last two primary cycles, despite redistricting that made this seat harder, not easier. The ground is shifting.
So here’s where the campaign goes now. Winning in November means going beyond the voters who showed up in June. We’re working to reach the huge number of registered voters who skipped the primary entirely, and to win over independents and Republicans who are tired of a congressman who never shows up. Clovis Dems are central to that work. Communities like yours are where this race gets won.
The biggest hurdle between now and November is simple: name recognition. When voters hear my story and my message, it lands. They just need to hear it. That’s why our volunteers started knocking doors in June, and why we’re building the mail and digital programs to reach every persuadable household in the district.
This campaign is grassroots funded, powered by people in this district. If you want to knock doors, make calls, or chip in, now is the moment. Everything we do between now and November matters.
Thank you for having me. Let’s go win this thing.
