2026 California General Election

• November 3, 2026 – General Election Day
• October 19, 2026– Last day to Register for the General Election.
• October 20, 2026 – November 3, 2026– Voters can “conditionally” register and vote a provisional ballot (ballot will be processed and counted once voter registration verification process is completed).
• October 5, 2026– Ballots mailed to voters.
• October 24, 2026– Ballot drop-off locations open.
• October 31, 2026– In person vote centers open

Mail in ballots must be postmarked on or before election day and received by November 10, 2026.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Post Office now postmarks mail when it is processed, not when it is received. To ensure ballots are postmarked on time, mail them before Election Day, bring them to the post office for a hand stamp, or drop your ballot in the nearest Drop Box.
